Actor Nora Fatehi has strongly denied reports linking her to drug and rave parties allegedly connected to a Mumbai-based trafficker with ties to Dawood Ibrahim’s family. The actor took to Instagram Stories on Sunday, calling the allegations “lies” and asserting that she is often targeted unfairly.
Several media reports had claimed that Nora, along with other Bollywood celebrities including Shraddha Kapoor, attended rave parties organised by detained drug trafficker Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh. These events were reportedly also attended by Dawood Ibrahim’s nephew, Alishah Parkar.
Nora Fatehi Breaks Silence: ‘My Name Is an Easy Target’
In her post, Nora Fatehi emphasized that she does not attend parties and leads a disciplined, work-focused lifestyle.
“I don’t go to parties. I’m constantly on flights. I’m a workaholic, I don’t have a personal life. I don’t associate myself with people like that,” she wrote. “On my off days, I’m at home, on a beach in Dubai, or with my high school friends. I spend all my days and nights working on my dreams and goals.”
The actor urged fans not to fall for misinformation.
“Don’t believe anything you read! It seems like my name is an easy target,” she said. “You tried to destroy me once with lies, and it didn’t work. I stayed silent while people tried to slander my name, smear my reputation, and use me as clickbait.”
‘Stop Using My Name’ — Nora Warns Media Outlets
Nora concluded her statement with a firm request to avoid using her name or image in unrelated reports.
“Please refrain from using my name and image in situations that have NOTHING to do with me! This will come with a heavy, heavy price!”
Background to the Controversy
The allegations stem from statements given by Shaikh, a detained trafficker who was deported from Dubai last month and is currently in the custody of Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC). He reportedly claimed that he organised rave parties attended by Bollywood and fashion industry personalities.
ANC officials have not ruled out questioning the celebrities mentioned in his statement, though no formal summons have been issued yet.
