Puri: Two non-servitors climbed atop the chariots before the Pahandi rituals at Saradhabali in Puri on the day of the Bahuda Yatra.
SJTA Chief Arabinda Padhee took the two persons out of the chariot as non-servitors are prohibited from boarding it. Following the Adapa Mandap Bije mishap, Padhee had clearly said that non-servitors would not be allowed on the chariots.
As per preliminary information, the person concerned is a senior official of the Central Government and another is an officer of a private/cooperative institution. The chief administrator has directed to file a complaint at the Singhadwara police station for necessary investigation and action. Strict action will be taken if any exception is found.
