Nida Khan, one of the key accused in the alleged sexual harassment and religious coercion case linked to a Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) BPO unit in Nashik, has been arrested after remaining absconding for 42 days.

The arrest was made late Thursday night in Sambhajinagar following a joint operation conducted by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Nashik city police and Sambhajinagar police officials.

SIT Conducted Multi-City Search Operation

According to Sandeep Karnik and Assistant Police Commissioner Sandeep Mitke, the SIT had been actively searching for Nida Khan since an FIR was registered against her on March 26.

Police teams were reportedly deployed in Mumbai and nearby regions during the investigation, but the accused allegedly continued to evade arrest for several weeks.

As part of the investigation, police also questioned Khan’s husband regarding her possible whereabouts.

Accused Linked to Sexual Exploitation and Religious Coercion Allegations

Nida Khan is among eight accused individuals named in the TCS-linked BPO case, where nine staff members accused several co-workers of sexual exploitation and religious coercion.

Police officials stated that while seven accused persons had already been arrested earlier during the investigation, Nida Khan remained absconding until her arrest in Sambhajinagar.

Nida Khan to Be Produced Before Court

According to police sources, Nida Khan will be brought to Nashik and produced before a local court on Friday.

Investigators are continuing to examine all allegations linked to the case, including claims of workplace harassment, coercion, and misconduct.

The case has attracted significant public attention due to the serious nature of the allegations and its connection to a major corporate workplace environment.
