New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA), with the assistance of Bihar police, on Tuesday conducted raids at two different locations in Patna.
The raids were conducted in connection with the Phulwarisahrif case allegedly linked to extremist outfit Popular Front of India (PFI).
This is the first raid by NIA against PFI after the Centre banned the outfit for five years in September.
The PFI “terror module” case was unearthed by Patna police in July with the arrest of four people, including a retired Jharkhand police officer, for their alleged links with the group and their plans to indulge in “anti-India” activities.
Till date, five members of the group have been arrested in two separate cases in the state.
