Balasore: A newly married woman was found hanging inside the house of her in-laws in Mainsadali village under Oupada Tehsil in Balasore district.
The family members of the deceased have alleged that their daughter had been murdered by her in-laws for dowry.
According to the family members, the woman was frequently tortured by her in-laws for dowry. On Sunday, her in-laws first found her hanging from the noose and informed them that she had committed suicide. Later, the father of the deceased lodged a complaint against the in-laws in the police station.
On receiving the information, the police rushed to the spot and seized the dead body. Later the body was sent for post-mortem. Also, the police have arrested four of the in-laws of the deceased in connection with her death.
A case has been registered in the police station. Further investigation is underway.
