The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has recently unveiled significant syllabus updates for ISC Classes 11 and 12, impacting core subjects.
These changes, set to take effect for the 2025 and 2026 board exams, aim to enhance the academic structure and better align it with modern-day requirements.
Key highlights include updates in subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics for Class 12, as well as certain updates in Class 11 subjects like chemistry, biology, mathematics, and history. The CISCE has also introduced new rules allowing Class 10 and 12 students to improve their results by retaking up to two subjects in the same year, while discontinuing Class 10 compartment exams starting from 2024.
Educational institutions have been instructed to disseminate these changes to students, parents, and teachers, ensuring a smooth transition. For further details, students can visit the official CISCE website.
The results for the 2025 ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12 exams, conducted in March and April, will be announced in May on the CISCE portal.
