Following the tragic death of a second Nepali girl student in an Odisha educational institution, Nepal’s Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba has expressed deep concern and called for a thorough investigation.

Taking to social media, Deuba stated, “This incident has deeply saddened us. We have initiated diplomatic steps for a proper investigation. Discussions are ongoing with the Government of India and the Government of Odisha.”

Another Nepalese student was found dead in her hostel room at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Bhubaneswar.

The body was discovered in room number 111 of campus number 4, with the incident suspected to be a case of suicide. However, the reason behind the death has not been confirmed yet.

The deceased, identified as Prisha Shah, is a resident of Biragunj in Nepal. She was pursuing B.Tech course in the institution.
