The Supreme Court has officially issued a notice to the Union of India, the National Medical Commission (NMC), and the National Board of Examination (NBE regarding a plea filed by the United Doctors Front (UDF).

The petition challenges the decision to conduct the NEET PG 2025 examination in two separate shifts, arguing that this arrangement could lead to discrepancies in difficulty levels and evaluation standards.

A bench led by Justice B.R. Gavai has scheduled the matter for a hearing next week, raising hopes among medical aspirants for a reconsideration of the current format. The UDF maintains that a single-shift exam would ensure fairness and uniformity, similar to the NEET UG exam.

The NEET PG exam is slated for June 15, and many students are now keenly watching the Supreme Court’s deliberation, as the outcome could significantly impact the structure of one of India’s most crucial medical entrance exams.
