Naveen Patnaik Vows Continued Fight for Odisha Rights After BJD’s Nuapada Bypoll Setback

Elections may come and go, but the core values and respect for the people’s trust must endure forever. It is the duty of institutions to uphold democratic rights through free and fair elections. The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has weathered numerous ups and downs, yet its unwavering commitment to fighting for the people remains intact and will persist.


Following the party’s disappointing defeat in the Nuapada by-election, BJD president Naveen Patnaik shared these sentiments on his social media platform X.

Inspired by the legacy of Biju Babu, the party will continue its battle for the rights of Odisha’s residents, Patnaik affirmed.

Expressing gratitude to the people of Nuapada and BJD leaders and workers, he emphasised that the party’s true strength lies in its dedication to them. Patnaik also extended congratulations to the victorious BJP candidate, hoping that meaningful development in Nuapada would honour the public’s mandate.
