Nandankanan Zoological Park registered a record number of visitors in 2025, attracting 40,20,539 tourists during the year.

The Excise Department’s official data confirmed that the zoo and botanical garden together witnessed unprecedented footfall, surpassing 2024 figures.

Furthermore, the zoological park alone drew 38,43,028 visitors, while the botanical garden welcomed 1,77,511 tourists. This combined turnout highlights Nandankanan’s growing popularity as one of Odisha’s premier tourist destinations.

Moreover, the park generated Rs 23.23 crore in revenue during 2025, which is Rs 1.06 crore higher than the revenue collected in 2024. In comparison, Nandankanan had attracted 37,99,632 visitors in 2024, underscoring the steady rise in tourist interest.

Officials explained that improved facilities, better visitor management, and enhanced attractions contributed to the surge in footfall. They also emphasised that Nandankanan continues to play a vital role in wildlife conservation, education, and eco-tourism in the state.
