The unusual object, attached to a battery-powered device with Chinese writing, triggered suspicion and concern among locals.
Police rushed to the spot after being alerted by villagers and seized the equipment for examination. Preliminary inspection suggests the device may be a weather-monitoring instrument used to collect atmospheric data. This eased initial fears of a security threat, though authorities have not yet confirmed its exact origin or purpose.
