A shocking video from Bhubaneswar has raised serious questions about law and order in the capital city.

The footage shows murder accused Srikit Biswal celebrating his birthday by cutting a cake with a sword, surrounded by associates.

According to reports, Biswal, the prime accused in the murder of a sweet shop owner in Samantarapur, hosted the late-night party with his supporters. The celebration turned controversial when he used a sword to cut the cake, symbolising what many described as a “power show.”

Standing beside him were Raghu Barik, the main accused in the Amaresh Nayak murder case, and Ricky, accused in the Baramunda murder case. Their presence at the event has intensified concerns that another gang leader may be emerging in the city.

The video, now circulating widely, has sparked outrage among residents and observers. Many believe such public displays of defiance by accused criminals undermine the credibility of law enforcement and highlight gaps in monitoring.
