Hindol: A minor girl was brutally raped allegedly by a man, who happens to be her uncle. The incident has been reported from Charanpur village under Hindol police station limits in Dhenkanal district.
According to police sources, the accused man, identified as Hadi alias Gobinda Sahoo, hailing from Bhusuka village under Narasinghpur police limits in Cuttack district, was on a visit to the house of one of his distant relative, at Charanpur village in Hindol.
This afternoon, the accused was leaving the house for attending nature’s call when he asked the minor girl to fetch him some water. When the minor reached there, the accused took her to a secluded place and outraged her modesty.
The minor gathered courage and raised an alarm following which the family members along with other villagers rushed to the spot and rescued her from the clutches of the perpetrator in a critical condition.
Sources said the minor was already unconscious and she was profusely bleeding at the time of rescue. She was then rushed to Hindol hospital and later shifted to Angul DHH after her health condition deteriorated.
Other the other hand, the accused man was tied up and beaten mercilessly by the villagers for such heinous act.
Later police reached the village and rescued the accused. He was then brought to the police station for interrogation. However, no case was registered in this regards till the last report came in.
