In a significant stride toward streamlining e-auctions for asset sales, the Indian Ministry of Finance has unveiled the BAANKNET platform.
Building upon the foundation of e-BKray launched in 2019, BAANKNET leverages cutting-edge technology to address challenges in disposing of Non-Performing Asset (NPA) cases effectively.
The platform boasts robust architecture accessible on mobile and web interfaces, offering features such as automated KYC, secure payment gateways, comprehensive property listings, bank-verified titles, and intelligent auction mechanisms. By ensuring transparency and efficiency, BAANKNET aims to maximize value for all stakeholders involved in NPA property auctions.
All 12 Public Sector Banks and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) have adopted BAANKNET to accelerate the auction process nationwide. This initiative highlights the Ministry of Finance’s commitment to innovation and economic growth.
