The young girl, whose case sparked widespread public outrage, died by suicide, according to her father’s video appeal.
“I’ve lost my daughter. She ended her life due to unbearable trauma and mental stress,” he said, urging people to refrain from turning the tragedy into a political debate. “The Odisha government has done a lot for us. Please don’t politicise this. Instead, pray for her soul.”
