The Mayurbhanj district administration has restricted media entry into Pahadpur village on June 20, citing high-level security arrangements for the visit of President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In an official communication, the District Information and Public Relations Officer instructed all print and electronic media personnel not to enter Pahadpur during the VVIP visit. The directive followed recommendations from the District Intelligence Bureau and the Superintendent of Police to ensure smooth conduct of the programme.
The communication clearly stated that media representatives will not be allowed entry into Pahadpur on security grounds. Authorities appealed to media houses to cooperate with the protocols to facilitate the visit without disruptions.
President Murmu is scheduled to arrive in Mayurbhanj on June 19, while Prime Minister Modi will arrive on June 20. Both leaders are expected to visit Pahadpur on June 20 as part of their itinerary.
The visit also includes a major public event at Rairangpur to mark the second anniversary of the BJP government in Odisha. Security agencies have prepared extensive arrangements to manage the high-profile programme.
