Police rescued a teacher from Mayurbhanj district after 36 hours and arrested four persons in this connection.
Rabindra Nath Singh, a teacher from Karanjia, was kidnapped on February 10, 2025, at gunpoint near NH-220. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 15 lakh for Singh’s release.
After 36 hours, Odisha Police rescued Singh from Talcher and arrested four suspects involved in the crime. The police investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being made to apprehend the remaining suspects.
Singh shared his traumatic experience of being kidnapped and physically assaulted by the abductors.
