Cuttack: A man’s hanging body was recovered from Rausapatna in the Cuttack district on Friday. The deceased was identified as Bishnu charan Das (54).
According to available information, Das had married thrice.
While his first wife and children were staying at Rajabagicha, there is no information about the second wife. Das was living with his third wife Hina Behera and their child at Rausapatna.
Reportedly, the matter came to fore after Hina claimed that somebody killed her husband and hanged him to the ceiling. On being informed police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent the body to Srirama Chandra Bhanja Medical College and Hospital (SCB) for post mortem.
Later, Das’s first wife reached the hospital along with two sons and a brother.
Later, Hina lodged a written complaint alleging that Das’s first wife killed his husband. She alleged that the deceased’s first wife came along with his sons and brother following which they tied her husband and thrashed him to death. Later, they hung him in the house.
On the basis of the complaint, police registered a case (302) under the section of IPC and started an investigation in this regard.
