In the Women’s Premier League clash, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) set a formidable target for Mumbai Indians (MI) by posting an impressive total of 199/3 in their 20 overs.

Captain Smriti Mandhana led from the front with a spectacular innings, scoring 53 runs off 37 balls, adorned with six boundaries and three towering sixes. Ellyse Perry played a crucial role, anchoring the innings with a well-crafted 49 not out off 38 balls. Richa Ghosh’s quickfire 36 runs off 22 balls and Georgia Wareham’s explosive 31 not out off just 10 balls further bolstered RCB’s total.

Mumbai Indians bowlers had a tough day on the field, with Hayley Matthews being the standout performer, claiming 2 wickets for 37 runs in her 4 overs. Amelia Kerr also chipped in with a wicket, but the MI bowlers struggled to contain the RCB batters.

As MI gears up for their chase, they require 200 runs to secure victory. With a required run rate of 10 runs per over, the match promises to be a thrilling contest as both teams vie for supremacy in the WPL.

Stay tuned for more updates on this electrifying encounter.
