In a proud moment for Odisha’s film industry, Pushkara, produced by Tarang Cine Productions, has been awarded the Best Odia Feature Film at the 71st National Film Awards.

The prestigious ceremony was held at Vigyan Bhawan, where President Droupadi Murmu conferred the honour.

Based on the acclaimed Odia novel Nadabindu by Sankar Tripathy, Pushkara is directed by Subhranshu Das and stars Sabyasachi Mishra and Supriya Nayak. The film explores themes of love, tradition, and cultural identity, set against the backdrop of Puri’s sacred rituals like Sahi Jata, Kartika Purnima, and Boita Bandana.

Director Subhranshu Das will receive the Rajat Kamal and a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh for his contribution. The win marks a significant milestone for Odia cinema on the national stage.
