Patnagarh: A man allegedly strangled his father to death at Ghagurli village under Belapada police station in Bolangir district. The deceased has been identified as Baikuntha Majhi (60).
According to reports, the father-son duo got into an altercation after the accused came house in an inebriated condition last night. Irked over the issue, Baikuntha’s son Maheswar Majhi strangulate his father to death.
The family members rushed Baikuntha to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead. Later they lodged a complaint at the Belapada police station in this regard.
On the basis of the plaint by the family members, police have arrested the accused and further interrogation is underway into the matter.
