Nabarangpur: In an unfortunate incident, a man met with a watery grave while taking bath in a pond at Lukaguda village under Umerkote police station limits in the district. The deceased person has been identified as Basanta Harijan.
According to available information, the incident took place while Basanta had gone to take bath. Unfortunately, he slipped into deep and drowned.
Reportedly, the matter came to fore, after Basant did not come back home. Following this, his family member launched a frantic search but in vain.
On intimation, police reached the spot and fished out the body from the pond with the help of locals.
