A man and his daughter were seriously injured when a speeding AMA Bus rammed into them on the Ring Road near Mancheswar Rail Stadium this evening.

The duo was returning home after school hours when the bus, allegedly travelling at high speed, struck them with full force. Both victims have been admitted to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Eyewitnesses said the impact was severe, leaving the father and daughter badly hurt.

The incident triggered immediate anger among local residents. Within minutes, an agitated crowd gathered at the spot, detained the bus, and raised strong protests against the reckless driving. Slogans and angry shouts filled the air as people demanded strict action.

Mancheswar Police quickly reached the spot and pacified the protesters to prevent any further escalation.

This is not an isolated incident. Residents allege that the city bus has been involved in multiple accidents in recent times due to negligent and rash driving by its drivers. Despite repeated awareness campaigns and public complaints, the pattern of dangerous driving continues, endangering innocent lives on city roads.

Locals expressed deep frustration, saying there seems to be “no end” to such tragedies caused by the bus service. They have demanded stricter monitoring and accountability from the bus operator and authorities.

Police have registered a case and are probing the matter. Further updates are awaited as the investigation progresses.
