The State Bank of India (SBI) has contributed ₹1.30 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to support relief and assistance for people affected by the recent floods in Odisha, officials said on Monday.

The contribution was made by staff members of SBI’s Bhubaneswar Circle towards relief efforts for flood-affected people across the state.

Cheque handed over to Odisha CM

The cheque was handed over to Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi by the Chief General Manager of SBI’s Bhubaneswar Circle on September 7.

The contribution is aimed at supporting ongoing relief and assistance measures for people affected by the floods in different parts of Odisha.

Chief Minister Majhi appreciated SBI and its employees for their contribution to the relief fund.

SBI discusses support for Odisha’s development

During the meeting, the Chief Minister and SBI officials also discussed ways in which the bank could support the state government’s developmental initiatives.

The discussions focused on aligning SBI’s efforts with Odisha’s development vision and strengthening its role in supporting the state’s growth.

The ₹1.30-crore contribution comes as the state continues relief and rehabilitation efforts following the recent flooding.
