Maharashtra: Over 50 persons were injured after three bogies of a train derailed in Maharastra’s Gondia early Wednesday after a passenger train collided with a goods train.
Reportedly, the accident took place at around 2:30 am on Wednesday after the passenger train collided with a goods train. The passenger train was on its way from Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur to Jodhpur in Rajasthan.
According to reports, the incident occured due to signalling issues. The driver applied the emergency brake, but could not avert colliding with the goods train.
The injured passengers are being treated at a government hospital in Goinda while some of them have been shifted to a private hospital as their health conditions deteriorated.
