Odisha is expected to receive rainfall on January 10 due to a low-pressure system, weather expert Sarat Sahu said. He noted that several parts of the state may experience light to moderate showers.
According to Sahu, rainfall is likely in coastal and northern Odisha, while northern interior districts may witness scattered showers. Farmers and residents have been advised to remain alert as the weather may affect daily activities.
From January 9 to 12, the state will continue to face the impact of winter. Temperatures are expected to drop further, accompanied by cold winds.
Authorities have also issued warnings about dense fog and cold wave conditions across Odisha. For the next three days, visibility may reduce significantly, causing disruptions in travel and routine work.
Districts such as Koraput, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, and Boudh are likely to experience dense fog, with visibility dropping below 50 meters and not exceeding 200 meters. Residents have been urged to exercise caution during this period.
