Reflecting on the team’s journey, Messi said the memories created together mean more than the trophies they have won.

The Argentina captain also thanked everyone associated with the national team for helping create a close-knit environment.

Argentina secured its place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 final after coming from behind to defeat England 2-1 in the semi-finals. Messi played a decisive role in the victory, providing two assists after England had taken the lead.
