The hallowed grass courts of Wimbledon witnessed a thrilling upset today as Veronika Kudermetova of Russia and Elise Mertens of Belgium claimed the 2025 Ladies’ Doubles Championship title.


Kudermetova and Mertens outmanoeuvred their opponents with a combination of strategic brilliance and unyielding determination. The pair recover from going a set down to defeat Su-Wei Hsieh and Jelena Ostapenko 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 and claim their first Grand Slam title together.
