Koraput: Train Hits Car At Unmanned Level-Crossing, 3 Critical
Damanjodi: Three persons were griviously injured after a car they were traveling in was hit by a train engine on railway track at an unmanned level crossing at Mujanga under Dasamnatpur block here in Koraput district on Sunday.
Four passengers were in the vehicle. All of them had visited Punjisil waterfall from Damanjodi. The incident took place when they were returning the waterfall.
Three persons, identified as Chinmay Mohanty, Ajay Rout and Pravat Ranjan Choudhury, were critically injured while another sustained minor injuries.
Mohanty suffered a fracture on his hand finger while Rout suffered injuries on head. Similarly, Choudhury also sustained wounds. They have been admitted to Damanjodi NALCO Hospital. After preliminary treatment, they have been discharged, hospital sources said.
The car was also partially damaged in the accident.
