Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan made a powerful and elegant debut at the Met Gala 2025, and among the millions left awestruck was American reality TV star Khloe Kardashian, who shared her admiration on social media and referred to him as “King Khan.”
Khloe posted a series of photos of SRK on her Snapchat, applauding both his regal presence and his fashion-forward look, calling him “amazing” and appreciating the cultural elements in his attire. “And of course I’m a fan of the K necklace (wink),” she added, referring to the actor’s statement diamond and pearl jewelry, specially curated by Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
Shah Rukh’s ensemble featured a black sherwani-inspired long coat, paired with high-waist trousers and a waist sash. His look was punctuated with layered necklaces, and a signature cane topped with a Bengal tiger head, paying homage to Indian royal aesthetics. He walked the floral blue carpet at the gala with unmatched poise, becoming the first male Bollywood actor to attend the prestigious fashion event.
Khloe Kardashian reminisced about being introduced to SRK during her visit to India for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding last year, where she was accompanied by her sister Kim Kardashian. Since then, she admitted to being intrigued by Khan’s legacy and charisma.
“He looked amazing, and it’s so great to see how the talented designers incorporate elements of their own culture and fashion from around the world with the theme of the event,” she wrote.
She continued, “His look by Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee incorporated design elements of Indian menswear. I loved seeing King Khan at The Met.”
Despite the global praise, Shah Rukh humbly admitted in a later post that the Met Gala was not his usual domain, revealing he only agreed to attend due to the excitement of his children. “It’s not really my space, but I’m grateful to Sabyasachi and his team,” he said in an interview.
Set to turn 60 in November, SRK continues to captivate audiences worldwide with both his performances and personality. His next big-screen project, ‘King’, directed by Siddharth Anand, will feature his daughter Suhana Khan, marking their first on-screen collaboration.
