In what is shaping up to be one of the biggest cinematic crossovers of the year, Bollywood icon Kareena Kapoor Khan is set to share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan once again.
According to reports, the actress has signed on for a special appearance in SRK’s highly anticipated action entertainer, King, directed by Siddharth Anand.
The duo, who previously left lasting impressions together in films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Don, will reunite after 15 years for a high-energy special number titled “Daddy Cool.”
Grand South Africa Schedule and International Collaboration
Sources reveal that Kareena Kapoor Khan will fly to South Africa later this month to shoot the sequence. The actress has reportedly allotted a five-day window for the schedule, which is being mounted on an extravagant scale.
Composed by the hit musical duo Sachin-Jigar, “Daddy Cool” is envisioned as a massive cross-cultural collaboration bringing together an Indian artist and a major international act. While the makers are keeping the identity of the international singer under wraps, the track aims to present both Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena in never-before-seen avatars.
Double Celebrations on the Horizon
The promotional rollout for King is also gearing up for a major milestone. The makers are reportedly planning to drop a brand-new asset from the film around Nov 2, coinciding with Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday, creating massive hype ahead of its winter release.
Co-written and directed by Siddharth Anand, King is produced by Gauri Khan, Siddharth Anand, and Mamta Anand under Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures. The star-studded actioner features an ensemble cast including Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rani Mukerji, and others.
