Kajal Aggarwal Urges Hindus to Speak Up Amid Outrage Over Lynching of Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh

Actor Kajal Aggarwal has condemned the brutal lynching of a Hindu man in Bangladesh and called on the Hindu community to raise their voices against such violence.

Sharing a post on her Instagram story, Kajal wrote: “Wake up Hindus! Silence won’t save you”, alongside a poster showing the body of a man set on fire. The post referenced the lynching of Dipu Chandra Das, a Hindu garment factory worker in his 20s, in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. The poster also carried the message: “All eyes on Bangladesh Hindus.”

Kajal was joined by other Indian celebrities speaking out against the incident. Actor Janhvi Kapoor described the killing as “barbaric” and urged people to confront the inhumane public lynching. She wrote:

“What is happening in Bangladesh is barbaric. It is slaughter, and it is not an isolated incident. If despite all of this you feel no rage, it is exactly this kind of hypocrisy that will destroy us before we know it.”

Janhvi further emphasized, “Extremism in any and every form needs to be called out and condemned before we forget our humanity.”

The lynching of Dipu Chandra Das sparked widespread outrage in India. Prominent Hindu organizations, including the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal, staged protests outside the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi.

The incident comes amid broader unrest in Bangladesh following the death of student leader Sharif Osman Hadi, who was shot in Dhaka on December 18. Diplomatic tensions between India and Bangladesh have escalated, with both nations summoning each other’s envoys. Dhaka also suspended visa services for three Indian cities, citing protests outside its missions in India.

Bangladesh chief adviser Muhammad Yunus condemned the killing, stating that violence has no place in society. However, many in India remain outraged, citing the incident as a threat to the Hindu community in neighboring countries.
