Jharsuguda police arrested three persons after a man was murdered late Tuesday night at Sarbahal Nuapada village under Sadar Police Station.
The deceased was identified as Sundar Rohidas, a resident of Nuapada.
Superintendent of Police Gundala Reddy Raghavendra said the prime accused, Hitesh Rohidas, attacked Sundar with a bicycle crank handle, leading to his death. Police suspect the motive was an alleged extramarital affair.
Along with Hitesh, police arrested his elder brother Lingaraj Rohidas and a minor in connection with the crime. Authorities confirmed further investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances behind the murder.
