Koraput: In a shocking development, Jeypore Airport Director Commander Abakash Parida has been accused of physical harassment by a female worker, sparking concerns over workplace safety.
The woman, employed in maintenance and office service duties, alleged that Parida made inappropriate comments and attempted to force her into a physical relationship. Upon her refusal, she claimed he terminated her without notice.
The complaint was lodged at the Jeypore Mahila Police Station, and authorities have initiated an investigation. Meanwhile, Parida has strongly denied the accusations, calling them false and baseless.
The incident has sparked concerns about workplace policies and the implementation of sexual harassment prevention measures at Jeypore Airport, which recently commenced flight operations connecting Jeypore and Bhubaneswar.
With the airport still in its early operational phase, experts stress the need for strict workplace policies to prevent such incidents in the future.
