Students preparing for both JEE Main and CBSE Class 12 board exams have raised concerns as some exam dates overlap.
The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exams will run from April 2 to 9, while the CBSE Class 12 board exams for languages, home science, and psychology will be held on the same days. However, core science subjects remain unaffected.
The CBSE has assured that it considered entrance exam schedules when setting the board exam dates and made efforts to avoid major clashes. Despite this, some students may still face scheduling challenges and need to carefully plan their preparation.
JEE Main is a crucial entrance exam for admission to top engineering colleges in India, including NITs and IITs. The 2025 exam is being conducted in two sessions – January and April, with over 13.11 lakh candidates registering for Paper 1 in the January session alone.
Key Dates:
- April 2: JEE Main Paper 1 and 2, CBSE language exams (Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Odia, Assamese, Kannada, etc.)
- April 3: JEE Main Paper 1, CBSE Home Science exam
- April 4: JEE Main Paper 1, CBSE Psychology exam
Students are advised to manage their schedules effectively to ensure they can perform their best in both exams.
