In match eight of IPL 2025, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) set a challenging target of 197 for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

The innings was highlighted by a late blitz from Tim David, who smashed three consecutive sixes in the final over, ending with a fiery 22 off 8 balls. Contributions from Virat Kohli, Phil Salt, and captain Rajat Patidar added vital runs against a formidable CSK spin attack.

The Chepauk pitch, known for its spinner-friendly nature, saw Noor Ahmad and Ravindra Jadeja keeping the middle overs in check. However, David’s late heroics ensured RCB had a competitive total on board.

With Chennai’s spin dominance against a lineup favouring pace, the chase promises to be a tactical battle. Fans can expect another thrilling chapter in this iconic IPL rivalry.
