With the final stage of IPL 2025 approaching, teams are making their last push to secure a spot in the coveted playoffs.

While some have built strong momentum, others find themselves in a do-or-die situation. Here’s a breakdown of where the teams stand and what they need to qualify.

Gujarat Titans & Royal Challengers Bengaluru: The Frontrunners

Currently leading the pack with 16 points from 11 matches, Gujarat Titans (GT) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have the clearest path to the playoffs. One more win from their remaining three games will seal their qualification, while two wins could place them in the top two, earning a valuable advantage in the playoffs.

Punjab Kings & Mumbai Indians: On the Brink

Punjab Kings (PBKS) sit at 15 points from 11 matches and need a strong finish to secure their position. Winning all remaining matches would guarantee a playoff spot, but they might still qualify with fewer wins depending on other results.

Mumbai Indians (MI) face a tough challenge with 14 points from 12 matches. They must win both of their remaining games to ensure qualification. A single loss could put them at risk, with their fate dependent on net run rate and other match outcomes.

Delhi Capitals: Battling Against the Odds

Delhi Capitals (DC) are at 13 points from 11 matches, needing at least two victories from their last three encounters to remain in contention. However, their upcoming fixtures include tough clashes against Gujarat Titans, Mumbai Indians, and Punjab Kings, making their path highly challenging.

Kolkata Knight Riders & Lucknow Super Giants: Long Shot Chances

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), currently with 11 points from 12 matches, must win both remaining games and hope for favorable results across other teams while improving their net run rate.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), with 10 points from 11 matches, need to win all three of their upcoming matches to reach 16 points. Their qualification hopes also hinge on other teams slipping up.

The Playoff Puzzle Continues

With only a few matches left, every game holds immense significance, and every run matters. As teams battle it out, cricket fans can expect thrilling performances and high-intensity clashes in the race to IPL 2025 playoffs.
