In a dramatic moment during the IPL 2025 match between SunRisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Lucknow’s Ekana International Stadium on May 23, opener Abhishek Sharma shattered a Tata car’s windshield with a towering six.
The incident occurred in the second over of the innings when RCB’s stand-in captain Jitesh Sharma handed the ball to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Sharma launched a massive shot over mid-wicket, which struck the display car parked near the boundary. A video circulating on social media shows the visible damage—a dent and broken glass—on the car’s front side.
Interestingly, the Tata car is part of a special IPL award for the batsman with the highest strike rate (minimum 100 balls faced) by the end of the season.

Despite the explosive start, Abhishek Sharma’s innings was cut short at 34, as he was dismissed in the fourth over by Lungi Ngidi, caught at deep backward square leg.
The moment added a quirky twist to the high-voltage game, drawing reactions from fans across platforms.
