The Indian Army has confirmed that Pakistan Armed Forces launched a series of coordinated attacks using drones and other munitions across the entire Western Border during the intervening night of May 8 and 9.

Simultaneously, Pakistani troops carried out multiple ceasefire violations (CFVs) along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to an official Army statement, the drone attacks were swiftly and effectively neutralized by Indian defence systems. In response to the CFVs, Indian forces delivered a strong and proportionate counteroffensive, ensuring the integrity of border positions and the safety of nearby civilian populations.

The Indian Army emphasized its readiness to deal with any escalation and reiterated its commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty. The situation remains tense, with heightened vigilance along sensitive stretches of the border.
