Team India displayed remarkable performances on Day 2 of the Asian Athletics Championships 2025, clinching a prestigious gold in the 4x400m mixed relay event.
The quartet of Rupal Chaudhary, Santhosh Kumar Tamilarasan, Vishal TK, and Subha Venkatesan defended their title in a stunning victory, clocking 3:18.12s.
In another thrilling contest, Tejaswin Shankar secured a silver medal in decathlon with 7,618 points, finishing just 16 points behind China’s Fei Xiang. Meanwhile, Praveen Chithravel won silver in men’s triple jump with a leap of 16.90m, reinforcing India’s dominance in track and field events.
The day also saw Pooja clinch silver in the women’s 1500m race, while Yoonus Shah secured a bronze in the men’s 1500m event. Rupal Chaudhary added to India’s medal tally by winning silver in the women’s 400m.
