A heated exchange between Rhea Chakraborty and Mallika Sherawat in The Traitors Season 2 has triggered a strong reaction on social media ahead of the show’s premiere. A preview clip shows

Mallika referring to Rhea’s past jail experience during an argument, prompting some viewers to call the remark disrespectful while others praised Mallika for her blunt response.

Mallika Sherawat and Rhea Chakraborty clash on The Traitors 2

In the clip, Rhea appears to defend a contestant after he comments about Mallika’s “comeback”. Rhea says she does not think the remark was particularly bad.

Mallika then questions why the discussion is about a comeback. She tells Rhea that if the game is about comebacks, she could also refer to Rhea’s time in jail.

The comment appears to leave Rhea visibly irritated, turning the exchange into one of the talking points from the upcoming season.

Viewers divided over Mallika’s remark

The clip has received mixed reactions online. Some viewers criticised Mallika for bringing a deeply personal experience into a reality-show argument.

Several comments described the remark as disrespectful rather than “savage”. Others argued that personal struggles should not be used as ammunition during a television game.

However, Mallika also received support from some viewers. Fans praised her outspoken personality and said the confrontation had increased their interest in the new season.

The contrasting reactions have helped generate buzz around The Traitors Season 2 even before its premiere.

What to expect from The Traitors Season 2

Karan Johar returns as the host of The Traitors Season 2, which brings together a new group of celebrity contestants for a game of strategy, deception and alliances.

The contestants include Aaditya Kulshreshth (Kullu), Abhishek Malhan, Ansh Chopra, Dalip Tahil, Harman Singha, Ikka Singh, Karan Singh Magic, Krystle D’Souza, Mallika Sherawat, Munawar Faruqui, Parul Gulati, Prish and Ranveer Brar.

Rhea Chakraborty, Rida Tharana, Sahil Salathia, Shahneel Gill, Shalini Passi, Shweta Tiwari, Soundous Moufakir and Tanya Puri are also part of the cast.

The contestants will be divided into Faithfuls and Traitors. Three contestants will secretly become Traitors and attempt to eliminate the Faithfuls without revealing their identities. The Faithfuls, meanwhile, must identify the Traitors and remove them from the game.

The first season ended with Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther emerging as winners after identifying the final Traitor, Purav Jha.

The Traitors Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on August 13.
