The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms across various districts of Odisha until July 30.
A Yellow Warning has been issued for multiple regions, advising caution due to lightning, gusty winds, and heavy rain in isolated places.
Weather Pattern
A trough associated with a well-marked low-pressure area over northwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining regions is currently extending towards northeast Bangladesh. IMD expects minimal rainfall activity in Odisha beyond July 30 but warns of unsettled weather in the coming days.
Marine Advisory
The IMD’s Bhubaneswar regional centre has cautioned fishermen against venturing into the North Bay of Bengal and Odisha coasts on July 27 and 28, citing rough to very rough sea conditions and strong winds.
