A tragic incident unfolded at Puri’s Chaitanya Chhak beach in Sector 9, where a tourist went missing while bathing in the sea. The missing individual, identified as Vikas Chand from Hyderabad, was overtaken by a powerful wave in front of his wife and son.
According to reports, Vikas had come to Puri with his family for a vacation. While bathing in the sea near Chaitanya Chak in Sector 9, a large wave swept him into deeper waters. Despite the frantic cries of his family, who witnessed the incident, Vikas was carried away by the current.
Lifeguards and fire department personnel immediately launched a search operation, combing the waters for any sign of the missing tourist. As of now, no trace of Vikas has been found, and search efforts continue.
