The Hockey India Nationals 2025 are set to kick off on April 4, 2025, bringing with them a transformative three-division format designed to elevate the standard of Indian hockey.

Thirty teams will compete across Divisions A, B, and C, each striving for glory and advancement in this dynamic system of promotion and relegation.

Division A features defending champions Odisha, runner-up Haryana, and other powerhouses like Punjab, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Bengal, and Tamil Nadu. As the stakes rise, teams will battle it out for top honors, with the bottom two facing relegation to Division B. Divisions B and C promise their own thrills, as teams eye promotion to higher tiers, keeping the tournament fiercely competitive.

The Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium in Jhansi will host this electrifying event, which concludes with the Division A final on April 15. Spectators can expect a feast of high-octane matches, driven by a revised points system that awards 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and none for a loss.

As hockey enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the tournament, all eyes are on Odisha’s defense of their title and Haryana’s quest for redemption. The Hockey India Nationals 2025 is not just a competition; it’s a new chapter in Indian hockey’s storied legacy.

She went there, and when they were clicking, she said ‘mujhe sharam aa rahi hai’, and I think it was the most honest thing to be, rather than pretend to be what you are not.”
