The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued multiple weather alerts for Odisha as a cyclonic circulation over the northern Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a low-pressure area on Thursday, triggering widespread rainfall across the state.
As per the latest forecast, Red Warnings—the highest level of alert—have been issued for Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts, where extremely heavy rain is expected on Friday.
