New Delhi: Former Australian pacer Brett Lee lauded the leadership of Rohit Sharma in the T20 World Cup 2024. He said that the Indian skipper and his team played a perfect style of cricket and it was good for them to win the tournament.

It was an end to the long 11-year title drought for the India National Cricket Team as they won the T20 World Cup 2024. Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, they scripted history as they won the tournament undefeated and became the first team ever to achieve the feat.

Rohit Sharma was one of the biggest reasons behind India winning the T20 World Cup 2024. The skipper led the team magnificently well and made sure that he ticked almost every box correctly. He made sure everything he touched turned into gold as India won their second T20 World Cup title.

It was a complete team effort from the India National Cricket Team as every player chipped in at some stage and helped the team win the tournament. Rohit Sharma was spot on with his tactical changes and the field placements which helped them outshine other teams and win.

Brett Lee was highly impressed with the way India played in the T20 World Cup 2024. He mentioned that it was a swansong for players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. He said that the Men in Blue looked strong right from the start. Speaking to the Times of India, he explained:

“Big, big congratulations to India. Firstly, it was really good to see them and the emotion on the faces of those cricketers. Virat and Rohit have moved on from the game. There were players from the Australian cricket team who also hung up their boots. So, it was a swan song for several players from different countries around the world.

“One thing I will say is that India played the perfect style of cricket in the T20 World Cup. They looked like a strong side, to be very honest. Massive congratulations to Rohit Sharma and the Indian team. He led from the front in the tournament.”
