Odisha has launched a statewide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, urging people to display the national flag at their homes and participate in events celebrating patriotism and national unity. The campaign will continue across the state until August 17.
The initiative is being organised across Odisha, from the state capital Bhubaneswar to blocks and gram panchayats. Several programmes have been planned during the campaign period to encourage wider public participation.
Odisha provides Rs 10 lakh to each district
To support the statewide campaign, the Department of Odia Language, Literature and Culture has provided financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to each district.
The funding is aimed at helping districts organise various programmes and activities as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
The Culture Minister has also appealed to people across Odisha to participate actively in the celebrations and display the Tricolour at their homes.
State-level Tiranga rally in Odisha
As part of the campaign, a state-level Tiranga rally is being organised on Sunday under the aegis of the Sports and Youth Services Department.
The rally is being held in coordination with various departments of the Odisha government. Officials, young people, students and members of the public are expected to participate.
The rally marks the beginning of a series of patriotic activities planned across the state during the campaign.
Har Ghar Tiranga events across Odisha
The Odisha government has called upon residents to make the campaign a collective celebration by hoisting the national flag at their homes and joining programmes organised at the local level.
Activities will be held at the district, block and gram panchayat levels throughout the campaign period.
The Har Ghar Tiranga initiative is aimed at encouraging people to take part in public celebrations and strengthen the message of national unity and pride.
