At the Indian Grand Prix in Bengaluru, Gurindervir Singh shattered his own record by running the 100 meters in a blazing 10.20 seconds.
The previous record, held by Singh at 10.27 seconds since 2011, now stands replaced. Singh’s performance was only marginally better than Manikanta Hoblidhar’s, whose 10.22 seconds also exceeded the prior national record by a whisker.
The race unfolded as a thrilling showdown between Singh and Hoblidhar, showcasing exceptional athleticism and determination. Gurindervir Singh’s illustrious career already boasts multiple golds in events like the 2021 and 2024 National Inter-State Championships and the 2024 Federation Cup. However, his latest achievement reinforces his place as India’s premier sprinter.
