In a tragic development, Aban Ahmed, the youngest son of late gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed, was killed in a high-speed road accident on Thursday morning in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi district. The incident occurred on the highway when the SUV he was traveling in lost control and crashed into a road divider.
Authorities confirmed that Aban was traveling alongside four companions in a white Hyundai Creta when the crash took place. Another passenger, identified as Sonu, also succumbed to injuries, while three other individuals in the vehicle sustained significant injuries and were rushed to a local medical college for emergency care.
En Route to Visit Incarcerated Brother
According to local law enforcement officials, Aban was traveling toward Jhansi to visit his elder brother, Ali Ahmed, who is currently lodged in the district jail.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) BBGTS Murthy addressed reporters regarding the incident, stating that emergency responders received reports of the crash around 10:30 AM. “Two people died in the accident, while three others sustained injuries. The injured are undergoing treatment at the medical college,” SSP Murthy confirmed.

Before his death, Atiq Ahmed had accumulated a lengthy criminal record spanning multiple decades, including convictions for kidnapping and extortion, leading to a life sentence handed down in March 2023.
