In connection with the ₹100 crore corruption case linked to the Gandhamardan Loading Agency and Transport Cooperative Society, four accused individuals were presented in the Balasore Chit Fund Court today.

These individuals, including the primary suspect, Soumya Shankar Chakra, also known as Raja, were remanded for three days for intensive interrogation by the Crime Branch.

Joining Chakra were the former society president Manas Ranjan Barik, current secretary Utkal Das, and associate Sushant Samal.

The Crime Branch had conducted a thorough interrogation over the remand period. Today, the accused were sent to judicial custody following their court appearance.

Raja Chakra’s bail plea is set for a hearing on April 3, which will likely mark a crucial development in this high-profile case.

This massive corruption scandal has stirred significant public and legal attention.
